                             Research Committee News

This year's ICA International Research Conference will be held 
at the University Residential Centre in Bertinoro near Bologna, 
Italy, on October 3-5, 1997 .  The conference title is "The 
Co-operative Advantage in a Civil Economy".  

The 1998 Research Conference has been tentatively scheduled 
to take place in Cork, Ireland from 13-17 May 1998. The 
Committee also plans to hold a conference jointly with the ICA 
Global Women's Committee sometime later in 1998 on 'Women, 
Entrepreneurship and Co-operatives".
