International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG)

The Conference Centre is owned by the Fondation des Immeubles pour les Organisations Internationales (FIPOI) - International Organisations Buildings Foundation - a private law foundation set up jointly in 1964 by the Swiss Confederation and the Canton of Geneva.

The purpose of this institution is to make a number of buildings available for non-profit intergovernmental organisations which have their headquarters in Geneva or hold international conferences there.

By a decision of the Swiss Parliament, the CICG, as an instrument of the Swiss Confederation's foreign policy, is available free of charge to inter-governmental organisations having their headquarters in Geneva. This decision is an expression of Switzerland's traditional policy of hospitality. Its aim is to promote multilateral negotiations in every field.
