MAFF-Japan  Team visits India and meets 12th course participants

A team consisting of three officials from MAFF-Government of Japan
and the IDACA visited India during the period November 30- December 
4,  1997. 

The team consisting of Mr. Osamu Hirokawa, Director of International
Division of MAFF, Mr. Tokizo Takagi, Assistant General Manager and
Mr. Torou Nakajima, Programme Officer both of IDACA, visited New
Delhi and IRMA and some of the primary cooperatives. The team also
interacted with the participants of the 12th ICA-Japan training course who
were then following their studies at the IRMA.

While at IRMA, the Japanese team was also received by Dr. V. Kurian,
Chairman of IRMA.

The team visited the ICA Regional Office and held discussions with
Dr Robby Tulus, ICA Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific on
matters of mutual interest.

The team visits were coordinated by Dr. Daman Prakash, Director of
the ICA-Japan programmes.
