Co-operatives to buy 31% of Bangchak `Thai'

The Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT) and the Finance Ministry of the Thai government are planning to dispose of 31% of their stake in Bangchak Petroleum plc., one of the petroleum giants in Thailand.

The Thai co-operatives using their reserves and revolving fund are aiming to buy the 31% stake in Bangchak Petroleum. More than 600 rural co-operatives in Thailand run more than half of the 1000 Bangchak oil filling stations nation-wide.
