NTUC Media co-op launched

The Singapore's most powerful trade union, the NTUC has launched the NTUC Media Co-operative Limited on 2 March, 1998.

The NTUC Media Co-operative, has been launched to establish a synergy with various other service co-operatives the NTUC has been operating, fulfilling felt social needs of the workers and the society.

Incidentally, the Singapore Amalgamated Co-operative Organisation (SASCO) is going ahead with building an S$8.4 m old-age home.

According to Mr. S. Moganaruban, Chairperson of SASCO, this six storey development will be the largest purpose-built sheltered home in Singapore.
