International Co-operative Energy Organisation (ICEO)
The International Co-operative Energy Organisation (ICEO) is a specialized organisation of the International Co-operative Alliance. It serves the needs of energy consumers and co-operative energy suppliers, located in numerous countries in regard to energy development, materials and equipment supply, energy efficiency and environmental quality.
The ICEO was established in October 1992, in Tokyo, Japan. Its founding meeting was held in conjunction with the 1993 annual meeting of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) in Dallas, Texas.
Apart from the officer listed below, Misael Monge, an electric co-operative manager from Costa Rica, is the representative for the American region.
ICA is an independent, non-governmental association which unites, represents and serves co-operatives worldwide. Founded in 1895, it now has 232 national members in 93 countries, plus four international members.
