*AGRICULTURAL CO-OPERATIVES*

An agricultural Co-operative is a voluntary association of farmers, who
join together to carry out one or more particular functions to their mutual
advantage, eg. marketing their produce, purchasing farm inputs such as feed
and fertilizer, sharing expensive equipment or supplying services such as
storage, transport etc. Similar Co-operatives are to be found in the
fishing industry.
